The Sun Prairie Area Community Band performs in Sun Prairie and other Madison area communities throughout the year. In the spring and fall we play a formal concert featuring traditional and contemporary concert band music. In the summer we loosen up a bit offering our audiences marches, show tunes, Hollywood hits and other fun tunes. We perform outdoors, at parades and at various “Concert in the Park” series. We end every year in December with our Holiday Concert playing our favorite tunes of the holiday season.

Join us at our upcoming concerts! All are free and open to the public. If you enjoy our performances and wish to support the band, we graciously accept donations to fund the purchase of new music and percussion equipment needed to entertain you for years to come.  If you are interested in having us perform for your organization or community please contact us at

Concerts in the Park - SPAC Band

Wetmore Park, 555 North St, Sun Prairie

The Sun Prairie Area Community Band kicks off their summer concert series on Tuesday, July 17 at 6 PM at Wetmore Park. The program includes a wide variety of musical styles from traditional folk music to classical pieces, some show tunes, and even a few jazz standards. As a special treat for youngsters, the band is performing “The Teddy Bears Picnic” a familiar melody composed by John Bratton, during which band members will lead kids and their teddy bears in a parade around the park.
